This pristine waterfront home is one of the very few remaining original beach cottages built during the turn of the 20th Century along Tybee's Back River, known as Colony Row. This beautiful and artfully restored home sits on one of the largest residential lots in the area, with ocean and river views, which include a private path that leads to the white sand beaches at the mouth of the Atlantic Ocean and the Back River - with amazing views of Little Tybee Island.

The architecture of this period harnesses the ocean breeze that blows through the home. The house has two massive wrap-around porches that follow the entire footprint of the home. These design features maximize the use of natural airflow, which keeps the cottage fresh in the warmer months. Each room has been masterfully restored and updated with modern heating and cooling. The wood floors, paneled walls, and staircases have been restored to their original beauty. The home has seven bedrooms that share four and a half bathrooms and with over 3,200 square feet of living space, not counting the porches, everyone will have plenty of space to enjoy.

The unique construction of the home consists of two 2-story structures that are connected by wrap-around covered porches on both levels. The first floor is home to the living, dining, and kitchen, two guest bedrooms, and a laundry room. The remaining five bedrooms are on the 2nd floor. Enjoy all the amenities of a modern home in the beautifully designed kitchen that is fully equipped and features a large center island that has bar seating for 4. The dining table has seating for 8, and the living room opens onto the wrap-around porch through tall french doors. The Master Bedroom is on the second floor. It overlooks the expansive backyard with a glimpse of the water beyond the dunes. The Master bathroom delights with modern splendor, including a spa-like walk-in shower.

Just steps away from the backyard are the pristine white sand beaches at the South tip of Tybee Island. Spend hours walking the beach in either direction for a fantastic sunrise over the Atlantic or a breathtaking sunset over the Back River. Bring your kayak to launch from the beach, and venture over to Little Tybee directly from the shore.
